About the Event
On this half day course, you will create a living harlequin tree to take home and look after. You will learn how to weave the plaited tree 'trunk' and how to care for your tree so that it brings you pleasure for years to come. These trees can be planted in the garden or look great in a half barrel planter underplanted with Spring bulbs. Your finished tree will be between 5-6 feet tall
Willow weaving can sometimes be wet and dirty so please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.
This is a beginner level course and no previous weaving experience is required. You will need good manual dexterity. Tools and materials will be provided.
Light refreshments will be provided.
The venue has free parking.
Please remember to bring your lunch, a mug, face covering and hand sanitizer. We will be working with the windows and doors open to ensure goodventilation. If you feel the cold, you might want to bring extra layers. If you or anyone in your household experiences symptoms of coronavirus in the 7 days leading up to the event, you MUST NOT attend the workshop. Please contact me to arrange another date.
