About the Event
Join us for a one-day workshop where you'll get to learn the art of traditional willow basketry and make two cool rustic vases. They'll look awesome with a jar of flowers or on your kitchen counter holding wooden spoons and utensils.
Willow weaving can sometimes be wet and dirty so please wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.
This course is for beginners, so you don’t need any prior basketry experience. You just need to be good with your hands. We’ll provide all the tools and materials you need.
Don't forget to bring a mug for hot drinks. There's a cafe on site where you can grab lunch, or you can pack your own lunch and enjoy a picnic on the farm grounds.
Whilst no previous experience is required, weaving can be hard on the hands and might not be suitable for those with conditions that restrict manual strength…
